This Privacy Policy applies to the updated, fully free and ad-free version of Pomodoro Nook: Focus Timer, also called PomoNook. For earlier versions that include advertising or Pro purchase features, please see the previous Privacy Policy (July 13, 2026).
All app features are free. The app contains no advertisements or in-app purchases and does not require an account. It does not automatically collect or upload personal information, study records, device identifiers, usage analytics, or crash reports to us or to third-party analytics or advertising services. We do not operate a server for receiving your study data.
The app does not include advertising, billing, analytics, or automatic crash-reporting SDKs. Voluntary email feedback, files you choose to export, and visits to this website are explained separately below.
The app stores subjects, timer settings, focus and break sessions, study history, language, notification preferences, themes, reminder sounds, and other app preferences in Android app-private storage on your device. It uses these records to run the timer and display your study reports. This data is not automatically uploaded or synchronized to a cloud service. The app is configured to disable Android cloud backup of its local data.
When you choose to export study records, the app writes a CSV file to the location you select using Android's file picker. That location may be on your device or with a cloud storage provider you choose. We do not receive a copy. If you save or share the file through another service, that service handles it under its own privacy policy.
If you choose to contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message or attachments. The app's feedback button opens your email app with a draft containing the app version, device manufacturer and model, and Android version. You can review, edit, or remove those details before sending. The app does not send the email automatically.
We use information you send to respond to your request, troubleshoot problems, provide support, and improve the app. Email is handled by your email provider and our email provider, Gmail, under their applicable policies. See the Google Privacy Policy.
The app uses notification permission to show timer progress and completion reminders, and vibration and foreground-service permissions for timer alerts and background timer operation. These functions do not transmit your study records to us. The updated app does not request Internet or advertising ID permission.
We do not sell personal information or share your locally stored study records with third parties. The app does not transmit data for advertising or tracking. External services are involved only as described here, such as when you send email, select a cloud destination for an export, or visit this website.
Study records and preferences remain in the app's private storage, protected by Android's app storage controls. Please protect access to your device and any exported files. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
You can delete study history in the app. To remove all app-local records and preferences, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. We cannot access or delete those local records remotely.
Exported CSV files are separate from app-private data and may remain after you clear app storage or uninstall the app. Delete exported or shared copies from the location or service where you saved them.
Email correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request, provide support, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of correspondence by emailing the address below. Email and hosting providers apply their own retention policies to data they process.
PomoNook is not designed for or specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us by email, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. We have not added analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, or cookies to these pages. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security purposes when serving GitHub Pages sites. This website hosting activity is separate from the app's locally stored study records. If you open Google Play, an email app, a browser, or a storage provider, those services process information according to their own policies. Removing advertising and billing from PomoNook does not change how those independent services operate.
We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. This policy describes the ad-free version; it does not retroactively change data processing by SDKs in earlier app versions.
