This Privacy Policy applies to Pomodoro Nook: Focus Timer, also referred to as PomoNook in some parts of the app.
Pomodoro Nook does not require users to create an account. The app does not ask for or automatically collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone recordings, or other personal account information. Information handled by Google services used in the app is described below.
The app stores study-related data on your device, such as subjects, timer settings, focus sessions, break sessions, study history, language settings, notification settings, app theme settings, reminder sound settings, and app preferences. This data is stored in the app's private local storage and is not uploaded to our own servers.
If you choose to contact us by email, we may receive the information you include, such as your email address, device information, app version, screenshots, and feedback content. Sending an email is voluntary. We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, troubleshoot problems, and improve the app.
Pomodoro Nook offers a one-time Pro purchase. Payments are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your credit card or other payment-method details. Google Play may provide the app with purchase status and transaction identifiers so that the app can unlock and restore Pro access for the same Google Play account. The app does not retain purchase tokens in its own persistent storage.
Pomodoro Nook uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob) to show ads in the free version of the app. The SDK automatically collects and shares data that may include the device's IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate location; app launches, taps, ad views, and other app or ad interactions; diagnostic information; and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. Google processes this data for advertising, analytics, ad performance measurement, security, and fraud prevention. Advertising privacy choices are requested and managed through Google's User Messaging Platform where required by applicable law. Declining personalized advertising may result in non-personalized or limited ads rather than removing all ads.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your locally stored study data with third parties. Google Play processes purchase information, and Google AdMob processes the advertising and device data described above, according to Google's applicable terms and privacy policies. We do not use any independent analytics, tracking, or advertising provider other than the Google services disclosed in this policy.
Study data is kept in Android app-private storage, and the app disables Android cloud backup for its local app data. Data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Payment information is handled by Google Play rather than by our own servers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit data access and processing to the functions described in this policy.
Locally stored study data and app preferences remain on your device until you delete the relevant study history in the app, clear the app's storage through Android settings, or uninstall the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app removes all locally stored app data from that device.
Email correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, provide support, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete email correspondence by contacting us at the address below. Data processed by Google is retained and deleted according to Google's applicable retention policies and user controls, including advertising ID controls available in Android settings.
Pomodoro Nook is not designed for or specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe that a child has sent personal information to us by email, please contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
The app uses Google Play services, Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, and Google's User Messaging Platform. You can learn more from the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use AdMob.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, third-party services, or legal requirements change. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
